The Silenzio has the same burrs and motor as the Eureka Mignon Specialità and grinds just as well, for a little less money. It has no touch screen, so you start and stop it yourself, with the button or by pressing the portafilter into its holder. If you're happy to judge the dose by eye, it's the better buy of the two.

- You can't programme a dose. You start and stop it yourself every time.
- Beans are stored in a hopper, which makes switching coffees often a nuisance.
- Some UK shops still sell the older 50mm model under the same name, so check the burr size before you buy.
